My Essay Point

How do we use physics in everyday life?

The subject of physics is quite interesting but do you know how it is implemented in our daily lives? In fact, there are so many instances when we use physical principles to accomplish the daily tasks. If you are wondering what I am talking about, let’s examine the various instances:

Airbags in cars: The security feature plays a very important role in protecting the life of the drivers and passengers. It is based on the principle of Newton which says that every action has equal and opposite reaction. As soon as the head hits the steering wheel, the bag pops up and prevents the grievous head injuries.

Bullet from the gun: One of the most important physical applications can be seen inside the gun when the bullet is fired. Once it leaves the barrel, an equal and opposite force is exerted in the opposite direction by the bullet. Therefore, a person should take precautions or else he/ she might end up injuring the shoulders.

Ultrasound and X-ray: Physics plays a very important role in the medical field as it is used for designing the diagnosis equipment. For instance, the ultrasound machine is used to capture the images of the tumor or the child inside the body. The sound waves collide with the hard objects within the stomach and return back to create the pictures.
Similarly, X-ray machine is also based on the physical fundamentals as it can be used to capture the snaps of bones and ascertain whether they are broken.

Obtaining fuel based energy: Use of oil in obtaining energy to drive the vehicle is an everyday affair. It is only possible by deploying the physical processes in tandem to get the desired results. In addition, the nuclear-powered plants break the atoms to release energy so that they could be used for generating electricity.  The old laws of physics help us to complete the task in a seamless and amazing manner.

Internet: Communication is the most important aspect of life since the dawn of civilization. With the arrival of the 20th century, the telephone was invented to transmit the voice signals in the air. It was possible due to the usage of physics, however, it was not the end of scientific innovation as the telephones of the yester years were replaced by the data transfer mechanism of the modern times also called the internet.

Physical laws played an important role in the invention of computers to aid the evolution of the internet. High-speed processors were designed from the silicon components which became very popular around the world. Today we use the internet to send an email and chat with friends as well as family members situated across the globe. Distance has shrunk dramatically providing sterling results to the users.

In short, physics rules our lives as we all know that gravitational force of the earth helps us to stay relatively at rest. In the absence of the pull of the earth, we would be sailing across the sky.
